Mauricio
Pochettino is prone to neglect Emmanuel Adebayor for the Europa League tie
against Fiorentina in Italy on Thursday, drawing out the Tottenham Hotspur
striker's spell in the wild. Adebayor is
the overlooked man of White Hart Lane, having been barred for as far back as
five matches and having scarcely emphasized in the course of recent months or something
like that. He has shown up since 9 November and was most recently seen on the
substitutes' seat at Sheffield United in the Capital One Cup semi-last, second
leg on 28 January, when he was left unused.
Adebayor, who
was denied an advance move to West Ham United on the last day of the winter
exchange window, has not gone with the Tottenham squad to an European away
apparatus since October 2013, when he was an unused substitute at Sheriff
Tiraspol in Moldova.
Tottenham's
last-32 game against Fiorentina remains at 1-1 after the first leg and
Pochettino has portrayed the return as a "cup final". He must adjust
his choice against the requests of Sunday's Capital One Cup last against
Chelsea at Wembley. The squad will prepare in Florence on Friday before flying
again to London.
