Man Utd Move of Cristiano Ronaldo is Possible: Louis van Gaal

Manager of Manchester United Louis van Gaal wants to sign Cristiano Ronaldo but expects Real Madrid will not sell him. It is being said Ronaldo will return to Manchester United, who left in 2009 for a world record fee £80m of that time. When Van Gaal was asked about to resign Portugal forward, he said: “It is possible. A team gets a lot of extra from players like Ronaldo, but I think Real Madrid shall not sell him.” Real Madrid won Champions League for the 10th time last May with the help of Ronaldo.

Ex Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon said Ronaldo did not like the selling of their top players including sale of Angel Di Maria to United. Eight major trophies in six years were won by the forward at Old Trafford under then manager Sir Alex Ferguson. When Van Gaal was asked whether he could bring Ronaldo back to United, he said: “Yes, but it is paper discussion always and I think media shall not buy Ronaldo.” Ronaldo pointed out last month he would be interested to rejoin Old Trafford. He said: “I love Manchester. Real Madrid is my home. I am happy at it, but United treated me very well. It was my second family.”
