Brendan Rodgers Admires Van Gaal for His Coaching

Boss of Liverpool Brendan Rodgers has confessed he studied Louis van Gaal as a coach when he was trying to develop his coaching career. He said:  “When you try to become a coach, you search for the persons who have a vision and philosophy and he was one of such persons. I was a fan of his job and career. He is very skilled and good manager who has the experience of working at some big clubs.” When Rodgers’s career was stopped due to injury, he made many journeys to learn what is coaching before Jose Mourinho gave him a job in Chelsea’s Academy.
He has learned managerial job successfully since then helping the Liverpool to get second position in the Premier League. There will be direct competition between Rodgers and Van gaal now. He has warned Van Gaal who has won different titles in Spain, Germany and Netherlands that he will find competitive nature of Premier League surprising. He added: “There are one or two teams in other leagues that are expected to win. Top teams play with bottom teams in the Premier League and you can lose on any day. This does not happen in other leagues.” The first Premier League game between Manchester United and Liverpool is at Old Trafford on Saturday, 13 December.
