Pochettino Says Tottenham Supporters Want to See Harry Kane in Action

Mauricio Pochettino thinks there is pressure on him to play Harry Kane because the striker is a young English hope but he will not bend to pressure of supporters. Kane netted the ball eight times for Spurs so far this season but has to start Premier League yet. He has scored his goals in the Europa League and Capital One Cup but now is in the line up to play against Aston Villa on Sunday. It is easy to understand that Spurs fans want their local boy be given a chance because the most experienced pair of Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor have scored just two league goals. But Pochettino having said on Friday that he is thinking to play Kane at Villa Park is not ready to say surely that he will have a run of league games.

When Pochettino was asked if his nationality was cause of pressure, he replied: “Always. It would be a sensitive issue if we were in Argentina and he was an Argentinian player and playing with two foreign players. It is normal because he is young English and from the Tottenham academy. We know he is special player for Tottenham fans and he has scored in the last game against Brighton and Asteras. I always take decision on the analysis of training and to give balance to the team and performance but I know he is a special player for us and our fans.”
